Black & Brown Boys Finding Their Ground | 6-Session Group Counseling Curriculum
Black and Brown boys deserve a group counseling space where their identity is the starting point, not the problem to work around. This 6-session curriculum gives school counselors a complete small group unit built around the real experiences of Black and Brown boys: identity, belonging, strength, community, and what it means to find your ground when the world keeps moving. Session guides, student materials, and discussion prompts are all included, ready to run Monday morning.
Why This Resource Matters
This six-session group counseling curriculum treats Black and Brown boys as meaning-makers with knowledge, strengths, and stories, not problems to fix. Every session is belonging-centered, giving students room to be fully seen.
What Students Will Explore
Identity: who they are beyond what people assume.
Real strength, beyond hardness or performance, and feelings that are real underneath automatic responses.
Brotherhood and what loyalty actually means, and seeing systemic patterns without turning them into personal shame.
Building a plan for staying connected to self, community, and possibility.
What's Included
